The book Hodgson Saga (Martlet Books, 2008) gives details of 21 famous Hodgsons and 3 famous Hodsons.

In 2008 a competition was announced. Hodgson contacts were invited to provided documented information of the first Hodgson migrant to Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the USA. The four winners were Rosemary Browning, Esther Mitchell, Eric Stephens, and Helen Gibson. Each winner is related to the migrant that they nominated.
